After 20 years in education as a teacher, leader, and Assistant Principal, I faced a pivotal moment that redefined my purpose. Teaching had always been my heart’s work, but when I didn’t get the position I applied for, I found myself questioning everything—my joy in chasing the next title, the system I’d worked within for so long, and whether my values truly aligned with it anymore.
